Discover the mesmerising sound of Yazija’s new single “Only You”

Musical artist Yazija is here with a touching new single and stunning visuals to match. “Only You” takes us through the different stages of a story that is still too often kept invisible within our society: the intimate relationships that exist between queer black men. 

Yazija: “I wrote Only You during a period in which I was unable to express the deep feelings of love and desire I carried for another man. I found myself afraid of letting my heart speak fearing the consequences it could bring.” 

He believes that the intimacy that lives between queer BIPOC needs more visibility in order for it to be normalised and accepted. For that particular reason Yazija decided to make Only You solely available as a visual record.

“A life in which love cannot be fully expressed, is in my opinion a life that cannot be lived to its fullest potential.

My wish for this visual record is that it will contribute to creating more space for more love in the world.”
